Research Assistant Qualification & Experience Required:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor of Science (16 years of education).
    • 8–10 years of professional experience in University Administration.
  • Desirable:
    • Master’s degree with 6–8 years of experience in University Administration.
    • 1–2 years of relevant experience in ORIC/Research Projects.

Research Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping of ongoing and completed research projects.
  • Drafting official letters, instructions, and minutes.
  • Processing project progress reports for funding agencies.
  • Assisting in Best Researcher Award data compilation.
  • Data entry for ORIC Score Card.
  • Following up with PIs (Principal Investigators) for timely report submission.
  • Updating project data on NRP and university databases.
  • Coordinating meetings with project PIs.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by the officer.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong multitasking & organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in faculty liaison and office administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Teamwork and innovative approach.
  • Familiarity with NUST NRP portal (desirable).
